Cookie and Local Storage Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers cookies, protected device storage, local storage and similar technologies used by Motion Arc Fit. Version: 2026-08-12.

2. Strictly necessary technologies

• Session and security tokens used for sign-in and request protection.
• Local language, theme, notification, reminder and interface preferences.
• User-and-device-specific unfinished workout drafts and Apple Health metadata showing the last sync time and imported/exported record counts.
• Paddleboard meetup reminder preference, scheduled native notification identifiers and weather-warning fingerprints stored for the signed-in user on that device.
• Optional program progress: pelvic floor program acceptance and completed sessions are stored under a user-and-device-specific local key only after the user opts in on the program screen. They are not sent to the server or community.
• PWA application-shell and public static-asset caches. Private API responses are not placed in a persistent PWA cache.
• Operating-system protected storage for session tokens on supported mobile devices.
• Separate on-device choices for error/crash reports and anonymous usage analytics. They are removed on sign-out, account deletion or local-data clearing.

3. Analytics and advertising

Motion Arc Fit does not run behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking or advertising profiling. Error/crash reporting and anonymous usage analytics are off by default. Sentry and/or PostHog starts only after separate opt-in under Settings > Privacy. PostHog is configured without a persistent device identifier, analytics cookie or local analytics profile; automatic click/form capture, full URLs, performance capture and session recording are disabled.

4. Controls and future changes

Sentry and PostHog choices can be enabled or disabled independently. Disabling stops new sends, and declining does not limit core service access. If another non-essential technology is added, its provider, purpose, duration and third-party access will be disclosed first and it will remain disabled until the required opt-in is given.

5. Storage and clearing

Session data remains until expiry, sign-out or account deletion. Preferences, workout drafts, Apple Health sync metadata and telemetry choices remain until cleared, sign-out or no longer needed. Pelvic floor progress remains only on the device until the user resets it on the program screen or clears browser/app data. Local data can also be cleared through browser/device controls; blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent sign-in.
